![]() Tried verifying the files, everything was there. I might have made some mistake while trying to tweak the visuals and need a little help trying to figure out how to fix it. Looking straight at the textures, though, show them in a normal state. Don't try to force the viewer to allocate everything you have, bad things happen. Try messing with the 'glpolyoffset' command, give it high or low numbers to test. For some reason, textures seem to blur at certain angles. The total amount of VRAM on your graphics card is shared between everything running on your PC, so SL, your browser, windows, etc etc etc. this has a logarithmic impact on the amount of stuff the viewer is trying to render, so even a small change can have the desired effect. Use a Third Party Viewer that lets you use more VRAM.ĭecrease your draw distance. The problem (and why they refuse) is that some graphics card (especially integrated ones) lie about how much VRAM they have. which is pretty paltry and something we have been pestering Linden developers to do something about for almost 10 years now. ![]() The official viewer caps the texture VRAM pool at 512mb. Texture cycling happens because the viewer has used all of the allocated video ram for textures and is trying to swap out textures to make room for new high priority ones. (oh, and don't tab out / switch application focus while you wait, that drops the CPU time allocated to the viewer and everything will take much longer). When they are in motion the interest list is being hammered with new stuff, but the viewer is still getting the old stuff you can't see anymore. Full rez textures will never load if the cam or avatar are in motion. not so much'įastest way to rez stuff in SL is to let go of the mouse, stop walking or caming, and be patient. I help with the Catznip TPV viewer, we looked at the source code to see what FS did and ran a few tests to see if it was something that could deliver reliable reproducible results, I don't remember our exact conclusions as it was some years ago, but it was along the lines of 'it looks very busy, so it feels like it's working but actually. ![]() Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely.Initially people were using a script to trigger FS's built in dd command so FS added it as a viewer feature.
